Shontelle Davenport

Overview

Shontelle is an experienced and knowledgeable legal assistant and works directly with Matt McCarthy.

Her career as a legal assistant began with McCarthy Partners in 2014, after a career in banking, finance and mortgage broking.

Shontelle has also spent time in management roles in other industries.

Areas of experience

Commercial Law

Shontelle’s commercial and business experience includes assisting Matt with the sale and purchase of businesses (both asset and share sales), loan agreements, disputes, and other commercial agreements and matters.

Property Law

Shontelle has gained experience through assisting Matt in all manner of property law matters, including multi-lot developments, residential and commercial sales and purchases, commercial and retail leasing, subdivisions, and related agreements and disputes.

Experience Outside of Law

Prior to working in law, Shontelle gained years of experience in all aspects of residential and personal lending, including first home owners, investors, self employed, family guarantees, refinances and reverse mortgages, managing her clients’ requirements from application stage through to funding. Shontelle has a strong understanding of the lending process and is able to utilise this understanding within her current role with McCarthy Partners.
