Shane McCarthy

Overview

Shane graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws on 6 April 1974 and was admitted to practice as a solicitor on 3 April 1975.  He holds a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Victorian Society of Notaries.

Shane established the firm in 1976 as a general practice and has been practising continuously since.  Over that period Shane has handled matters in a wide range of areas including crime, litigation in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, Supreme Court and VCAT, matrimonial / family law, commercial (including leasing and business sales and purchases), residential and commercial conveyancing, and wills and estates.

Shane is now concentrated primarily on estate planning including wills, powers of attorney and probate work for deceased estates.
