Overview

Jo joined McCarthy Partners in 2018 as our Receptionist and after 3 months was given the job as Office Manager using her prior work experience in non-Legal roles as to assist her in this new career direction.  Managing a dynamic team, Jo is responsible for day to day operations of the office and staff, including all financial, administration and Human Resource duties. No 2 days are ever the same and Jo has embraced the challenge of the new position with a “can do” attitude.

Prior to joining us, Jo worked for the State and Commonwealth Banks for 14 years starting as a teller and progressing to a Personal Banker and Branch Development Office which included the training and mentoring of new staff. You may find her a familiar face. During this time Jo had some time off to raise her 2 daughters.

In 2002 a new opportunity came from with Australian Pensioners Insurance in Rosebud, this was the start of new career which would continue for 16 years. After 2 years in a busy call centre  the next step was Insurance Broking joining Nepean Brokers Rosebud in 2006, she was responsible all aspects of the for the Retail Insurance clients policies.

A new position was offered to Jo at BJS Insurance Brokers in 2006 starting as the Personal Assistant to the Manager and progressing to an Account Manager in charge of over 400 clients.

The opportunity to work with McCarthy Partners in a close knit team was one to good to pass up and Jo looks forward to many more years with Firm.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys Golf, camping and spending time with her family and friends
